Still wanting to do it, but am thinking it all through very carefully. I'm facing a minor setback. My 5 year old Macbook is not doing well. I've had a couple of incidents where it refuses to boot and the only way I can get it to switch on is to format it. I'm sure it won't be long til it dies completely. I suppose I could try to get it repaired, but I know that it needs a new battery, keyboard and track pad, and lord knows what else. Luckily, my coworker has given me one of her old computers. It's a bit slow but at least it works. I am trying to decide whether to get a desktop or laptop. At the moment am very much leaning towards a desktop as I actually like the fact that you have to sit down in one spot to use it. I don't mind using this computer until I save up for a new one, but I don't think it's a very good long term solution, as it really is very slow. Anyone got any thoughts on this matter?
