Helper FishyMandy Posted October 13, 2017 Helper Share Posted October 13, 2017 And Lots of them Well not yet..but soon... My pond fish spawned! I bought a piece of papyrus root and a leaf inside. The rest of the eggs are staying outside...if anyone hatches and survives out there they get a free pass I don't know who the parents are, but I suspect my big Shubunkin Splasher is the father, and my big red and white Comet, Picasso is the mother. I've seen Splasher chasing Picasso quite frequently. Here are the eggs the day I found them: Here they are today, with little eyes
Regular Member mjfromga Posted October 13, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted October 13, 2017 Maybe I will get some babies next summer. It's almost winter here now. Everytime mine spawn, they just eat everything. There were no plants last year so all the eggs fell to the bottom and were quickly eaten or lost amongst the green crap down there.
