You mean in the tank raising to 0.3% by 0.1% every 12 hours or dip/bath?

...ignore me. You mean in the QT tank (dips would be 3.0%).

I'll start raising the salt concentration to 0.1% tonight after his WC (unless I hear different from you).

Just in his Qt tank. Not Dips :)

We're at 0.2% this morning. We'll be up to 0.3% tonight.

Woke up to this though. Muppet.

I'm pleased you can see that. I sure as heck can't!

All I see is a silly fish that's knocked some scales off.

As of last night, we're up to 0.3%.

Looks like he could have brushed up against the heater and took out some scales. Lets do the salt for a 4-5 days, then I would say if your main tank is ready let him be back in there. :)

It's still cycled, cleaned meaning wipe everything down like glass and stuff. We want to make sure he's going in a clean tank.

Ah yeah, all good on parameters. I've been leaving the algae recently for the Nerites to chomp on but no prob to wipe down. I'll be doing my WC on Sunday so will do a thorough clean plus I'll be dosing the silver.

Is there anything else I should do/check to make sure it's ready?

Just for info I've been cleaning one filter each week, alternating between the two, so they both get cleaned twice a month (thoroughly smack the crap out of the sponges til they're clean, dump the water, wipe down, rinse/shake the baskets of ceramic rings/noodles in tank water, etc). If I'm doing something wrong, let me know.

Thanks Dawn. I do hope so too.

Would like the chance to see a fish in that big tank of mine. Plus an opportunity to buy some new squish heads! ?

He's doing pretty well thanks Dawn.

No physical changes to note (which is a good thing I guess), and he hasn't displayed any twitching since the salt went in last Tuesday. His graze/missing scales don't look so dramatic so I think they must be healing up nicely.

I'm just itching to move him back into the main tank - the QT tub doesn't offer him much room for manoeuvre. I'll post some updated pics tomorrow and see what Koko/AM think.

@koko - if/when you think he's ready to go back in the main tank, should I reduce the salt in his QT in stages (0.3 > 0.2 > 0.1 > 0.0) or can it be done in one go during a 100% WC?

Out of interest, we have a jar of this in the cupboard - http://www.verylazy.com/products/chopped-ingredients/very-lazy-chopped-garlic/

The ingredients say White Wine Vinegar (contains Sulphur Dioxide) & Dried Garlic - would the juice be safe to use for soaking food in (thinking it may help boost Piggy's immune system)?
