Hi There!

My new Ranchu  Xena has been in QT for  3.5 weeks now with salt as indicated.

She has these small growths on her Wen which I thought might be pimples and go away on their own, no such luck!

A couple went black and now she also has a green shadow on her tails fins..

They have had Fluke solve as prevention and Kanaplex.  Week 1 + 2

When the white things appeared I did a touch of Pimafix. Week 3. Now just clean water.

I have found this in the filter : Please don't tell me that's fish lice ? http://tinypic.com/r/2mze9p3/9

What's going on and should I medicate?

Other fish fine and due to go in main tank this week.

I used it once before in combination with  Kanaplex a long time ago but it was in conjunction with prazi under jared's instructions for unidentified fish sickness!!

Package instructions  are: medicate (1 tablet to 22.5 L) day 1,2,3 water change on day 8 = 1 round.

I looked up some info on the med and it says it's active for up to 3 days after it's added.  So it would make more sense to me to add it day 1, 3 and 5.  I would medicate day 1 then do a 100% WC day 3 and medicate.  Then do a 100% WC day 5 and medicate.  It also said that external signs may take up to 7 days to improve so don't expect miracles right away. :D

Hi Y'all

OK , great news as you can see visible signs of improvement :happydance: redness gone, black bits disappearing, but those white fuzzies keep coming... Yesterday was day 7, my gut says to do one more round, what say you? x

I don't get why it's not just displaying the picture after putting in the code either- only way it works is if  I cut and paste- but now you can't see it- confused.com :(
