anyway im through with the 8 days and except the piece of tail he lost he seems healthy.

i think it wasn't exactly fish specific since she poured it out of a 3l bottle she seemed to be storing easily accessible. that makes me believe its something she uses more frequently than just for the occasional sick goldfish

I don't know that there are many fish specific meds.  Most meds we use are used on several species.

ah ok didn't know that. anyway ive read through lists of antibiotics but couldn't find anything looking similar to whatever the vet wrote. it is a clear thick liquid if that helps?

I would call the vet and ask them what they gave you so we can know :)

I'd guess baytril, but I'm curious to find out too! That stuff is dropsy magic though usually in injected or ingested form.

baytril kind of looks like what she wrote too, it could be anything else though. i'll ask.

if it really is that, we can add a form of therapy with it to the list of dropsy remedies, right?
