itsmongg 0 Posted October 21, 2016 (edited) Hi guys! I've recently purchased a bunch of orandas and one ryukin from a owner who could no longer look after them and they were in quite bad shape (they were sold to me in a dirty mop bucket and murky brown water ). When I got them home and put them in my tank, they were quite lethargic and just kind of sat on the bottom of the tank, I noticed then their fins were clamped up and almost all of them have veining in their tails. I followed the advice of my local petstore and they advised me to just add aquarium salt and they will get better over time. Its been about 2 months since I've bought them and I've noticed they are swimming much more actively, eating normally, and the fins don't seem to be as clamped up anymore. Was just wondering what else I can do to help out my goldfish as their tails still have the veining in them - will this ever go away? there is one smaller oranda who's anal/lower bottom fins are still very much clamped up - is there any other way apart from aquarium salt to help this? Another seemed to have a bit of fungal growth but the aquarium salt hasn't seemed to help it much, would you advise me to use multicure (it freaked me out the last time it turned my tank green for a week ) I have a 6ft tank and there's 6 orandas, 1 ryukin and 4 plecos and a few guppies. Hope you guys can help Anal Fins Clamping Fin/Tail Veining White/Pearl Scales on end of dorsal fin - not sure if fungal/bacterial?
