Med Question

I just have a quick question about meds. I got a new fish and it turns out she has anchor worms. I noticed a few days after bringing her home. So, I'm going to treat with dimilin. But, I'm worried about possible infection when the worms fall out. I just want to know if anyone knows if it's okay to use Metro in the water at the same time as using dimilin. Thanks.

No, don't use metro. Something like .1% salt or methylene blue is plenty inhibitory for an external secondary infection, and we have better antibiotics for that if those don't work. Metro isn't really appropriate for that sort of thing and definitely not prophylactically. Salt with the Dimlin would be my first suggestion.

Okay thanks. I already have 0.1% salt in there from when I started the QT.
