So I was just wondering, as it has been bugging me for ages...

Is it bad to feed goldfish, food that is not room temperature or is it ok to throw in a frozen portion of food in to the tank?

I have been defrosting gel food until it is room temp and even if its from the fridge i wait till it is not cold before feeding. Am I being too OC with this?

I dont know why I get so paranoid about it...I guess its just another thing I want to rule out for causing constipation or something  :doh11:. My Moore is getting worse at getting the food so tom gusts it all and this is not good for him/her

it's such a small volume to be concerned about, i never wait for room temp with respects to food.. and like Amanda, most of the time (when i had that many mouths to feed) i would throw entire frozen bloodworm cubes in the tank. they usually defrost in like 20-30 seconds.. they just get pecked at until food comes from them :rofl
