Recommended Posts

Ok, the remaining tank guys; p0dge, Pidge, Tweedledum, Louie and Belle are on the second treatment plan, which i will update here.

Prazi rounds are now completed. They have therefore been in prazi for 4 weeks solid with large waterchanges. Today i have given the tank a 100% WC and scrub. I dosed 15 drops of 500ppm colloidal silver as per Taryl and Kokos recommendation.

Ill outline next the symptoms each fish was showing, the treatment they each recieved and their status now.

Im sorry i cant upload photos for all of these guys.

Treatment for these guys commenced on the first.

Salt dip at 2% today - he lasted 6 min

Reduce daily feeding for 3 further days (7 days total) to just one pea morning and night.

Added colliodal silver to tank

Within 24 hours, slight blackening appearing at the site the spots were.

3 days later split appears to be starting to heal and slight blackening is fading.

5 days after treatment commenced blackening is fading, split is healing. Fuzzys are gone on tail split. Swimming is still slightly uncontrolled and hes still slightly floaty.

Belle tricolour ryukin...

Results so far...

So far her swimbladder seems slightly improved with less nosestanding than before. She spends most of her time either swimming or near the surfacecwhere it appears itsveasier for her to rest and control resting. I have however noticed some slight finclamping of her dorsal today.

After 5 days of treatment, dorsal clamping slightly evident on resting near surface, swimming remains unchanged. Its seems its easier for her to rest near the surface as per photo. Shes not gulping, just resting.
