White object on goldfish head ~ help!

Recommended Posts

I'm worried that this is anchor worm. Can anyone confirm by the photo?

Are you talking about the white thing on the top of his body between the head and the dorsal fin? Can you get a close up of the spot? Anchor worms usually stick out and have a forked or Y-shaped end:

It's very thin. This morning it looked longer and now it is just a white nub on the top of his head

Thanks for the response. I just got him 2 days ago from the fair. He looked really bad when I got him, sitting at the bottom of the tank very pale and had some blood spots. Since getting him in a larger space he seems to have greatly improved. Ill get back to you with those numbers asap :)
