Googles Update

Recommended Posts

:hi Charlie and Googles (and buns)! :D

Can you take the broken tube around to hardware stores and find something else that will fit onto your nitrate filter properly?  There are no parts circulating around on ebay?

Hi Tammy :hi

I threw the device away. I don't think it would have been fixable like that, the tube IS the filter.

Really sucks it doesn't exist anymore.

I've probably not done a prazipro treatment in about 3 years.

My bottle has finally arrived from the US. What schedule should would be good for Googles?

He's moved a little for me now. Here is a glimpse of the lumpy thing I was trying to explain. It moves around inside his eye lens like a marble in a jar.

This shows how much it protrudes compares to his other eye lens:

And this is the tumour/wart things behind his head

Unless you guys think these things need treating, or are a sign of something serious I'm not overly concerned. I just thought I would do an update

I know I am not nearly as experienced as many people on this forum but could it be a wen growing as when some fish get older then develop a sort of small wen. One of my shubunkins has one

^^ It looks a lot like wen tissue to me as well.

Also, I'm not sure about fish but eye lenses do (rarely) dislocate in other species. They can also get cataracts.

I'm no expert but when I get new fish that I have no background info on I've been giving them 3-4 weeks of prazi then 1-2 weeks of 0.3% salt. I really don't know if that's good or not but I'd probably do something similar with a fish that hasn't been treated in a long time.

Sorry, this is a bad week for me with everything going on. For prazipro I like a schedule with no salt, treat for four days and plain water for three. Repeat that weekly rotation two or three times and you should be good to go on flukes for awhile.
