Which well has the nitrite test and which the nitrate?  Do they look the same color to you?  If so, to me it looks like nitrite reads 0.2 to 2, and nitrate maybe 7-10.

You might go to Seachem support and send them the picture and request interpretation.

I will do that... The nitrite well is the top one where the arrow points up... Nitrate is the lower well...

What do you suggest for a WC today????

I contacted Seachem... I sent them the pictures and explained about the nitrite issues. We discussed the pictures yesterday pic she said that the Seachem range was .05-.5 was consistent to the API .50 and today's test "range" 1-5... Not a specific number... Grrrrr... She suggested and she stressed "suggested" that I do not do water changes, but to double dose the tank with prime every other day and dose x2 the tank with Seachem stability for 7 days... Or some other nitrifying bacteria.... Please shoot me now!!!

:wall

I sure hope Lisa's bugs kick in soon!!!! :(

I'll be starting WC soon...

Ugh. Keep with the WCs as Sharon suggests. They are reading from a script. And trying to sell more of their products...

On the first picture I see no match on the card for the sample.  It looks so much bluer than anything on the card that isn't too pale to see.

On the API test in the second picture you don't have a card to compare it with, but I'll buy your numbers.

I don't know of anything to do except keep on with 50% changes until the nitrite goes away.

Looking good!

Hi Shakaho, here are the post WC results....

Both API results are less than the values assigned.... Pale in shade to the color on the card...

Tank = >.50 and tank/tap = >.25

Seachem results are about 1/2 as lite as the morning....

Chris here... Good morning.....

I think there is the tiniest improvement in nitrites.... The phot shows a 2, but in hand it is got some 1 to it.... Fingers crossed...

API PH- 8.0, ammonia-.25, nitrite- 2ish, nitrate-5

Seachem also looks a little lighter.....

It looks between 1 and 2 to me.  I can't see a match on the Seachem test.  Maybe you are supposed to match the intensity and not the hue.

Hi Shakaho, it's a guessing game to me.... But I'm hopeful that it's starting to turn around.... :please
