Greenish yellow patch on my new oranda's cap?

It looks like it came from below the surface of the cap/wen and I guess, it sprouted out? It's feels kind of rough and I've tried rubbing it off gently and it did remove some patch from the surface, but I dont wanna try and go deeper, I don't wanna hurt him :( lol it's fairly small, like a dot from a marker, but you can still see it. It's only located on that area of his whole body, everything else looks healthy I have pictures but I don't see an upload attachment option anywhere here

You first need to upload your pictures to a host site like Photobucket.  Then you can copy and paste them to your post.  Please also copy this form, paste it in your post and answer the questions.

    • * Ph Level, Tank (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines)
    • * Ph Level, Tap (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines)
    • Other Required Info:
      • * Brand of test-kit used and whether strips or drops?
      • * Water temperature?
      • * Tank size (how many gals.) and how long has it been running?
      • * What is the name and "size of the filter"(s)?
      • * How often do you change the water and how much?
  • * How many days ago was the last water change and how much did you change?
  • * How many fish in the tank and their size?
  • * What kind of water additives or conditioners?
  • * What do you feed your fish and how often?
  • * Any new fish added to the tank?
  • * Any medications added to the tank?
  • * List entire medication/treatment history for fish and tank. Please include salt, Prazi, PP, etc and the approximate time and duration of treatment.
  • * Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus?
  • * Any unusual behavior like staying at the bottom, not eating, etc.?

Yes, welcome! We are happy to help but need the information Shakaho posted above. Pictures on Flickr or photobucket and linked here are also going to be necessary - this sounds funky!
