Helen 8,511 Posted April 24, 2016 hello, i won't be able to assist, however, since there are no visible signs of illness that i can see, it will be best that you provide a video so that we can see the fish's behaviour. also, if you can, please do a gill and belly check as i demonstrate in the video below and report back with your findings and video of your goldfish. the information i request will be very helpful to those able to assist you.
elic173 0 Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) Hi. Thanks for the reply. I managed to feel the belly but I can't get my nails under the gills. They seem quite cLosed. I've uploaded a video showing the belly inspection and lethargic behaviour. fantailfan1 26,742 Posted April 24, 2016 Do you have your koi in a tank? If so, please fill out the form with main tank info. Also can you get water information at a pet store if you don't have a test kit? Where are you located?

LisaCGold 1,691 Posted April 24, 2016 Sorry about your fish. Make sure to get numbers on the water parameters and not just "water is okay."

I figure he meant the goldfish normally lives with the Koi in the main tank. Though as they are Koi, the tank is probably still too small...

Hi guys sorry I had a cut 'n paste error above regarding the tank volume. My tank is 3.43m length x 0.8m wide and 1.15m deep. It's got 9 koi. The gold fish was living amongst the koi. They are all racing around happily, so no idea why the comet decided to go and swim with the fishes
mjfromga 1,784 Posted April 26, 2016 9 koi? Idk about Koi... But even with a tank that large, that sounds pretty overstocked...
shakaho 6,312 Posted April 26, 2016 Correct. The tank holds about 1000 gallons, suitable for 1 to 3 koi.
elic173 0 Posted April 26, 2016 When I add all 9 koi together. I get a total of 46 inches of fish. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
shakaho 6,312 Posted April 26, 2016 They are 5 inches long. They won't be that size for long.
