How long should Quinn be getting antibiotics and Epsom salt and MM?

You discontinued the triple sulfa when you began the metromeds, right? Two week course of those with the Epsom salt and we will evaluate where you are at.

Ok. Today is 2 weeks on metro meds, and Epsom salts and metronidazole in the water.

Quinn no longer looks pine coned. He does have some pink streaking by the base of his tail. But that's his normal and I think is more noticeable because he's all white.

He's active and perky. Comes to see me when I walk by his QT tank. He's eating vigorously and pooping.

Can I move him back to the 55 gal after water changes today?

Soooooooo! If nobody gets back to me by bedtime central standard time....... I'm going to put Quinn back into the 55 :idont

What do you all think?

If it were me, I would keep him in the QT, do a 100% water change and observe him in pristine, medicine-free water for one more week. That way, you can see if the infection is completely gone and not just being held at bay by the antibiotics and Epsom   :twocents

Not a mod (obviously) :) but that's what I do, as long as he looks fine by the time the 2 weeks is up I put him back in. Congratulations! :D

Ok, I guess it's better not to rush these things as i guess he is prone to this now. Hopefully, he doesn't have permanent organ damage! Thanks for your input :hug

Sorry, I know that wasn't the answer you wanted :rofl

You're right, but what ive learned lately is that the truth....... sucks! I'd rather just have it and move along!

I just hope Quinn makes it [emoji14]lease

Keep him in the QT at least another week, if he remains symptom freed he can then be moved.
