Flipper 13,057 Posted April 6, 2016 How long should Quinn be getting antibiotics and Epsom salt and MM?
Arctic Mama 3,627 Posted April 7, 2016 You discontinued the triple sulfa when you began the metromeds, right? Two week course of those with the Epsom salt and we will evaluate where you are at.

Flipper 13,057 Posted April 17, 2016 Ok. Today is 2 weeks on metro meds, and Epsom salts and metronidazole in the water. Quinn no longer looks pine coned. He does have some pink streaking by the base of his tail. But that's his normal and I think is more noticeable because he's all white. He's active and perky. Comes to see me when I walk by his QT tank. He's eating vigorously and pooping. Can I move him back to the 55 gal after water changes today? Flipper 13,057 Posted April 17, 2016 Soooooooo! If nobody gets back to me by bedtime central standard time....... I'm going to put Quinn back into the 55 What do you all think?
SweetMamaKaty 2,788 Posted April 17, 2016 Not a mod (obviously) but that's what I do, as long as he looks fine by the time the 2 weeks is up I put him back in. Congratulations! Sent using Tapatalk
jmetzger72 6,976 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) If it were me, I would keep him in the QT, do a 100% water change and observe him in pristine, medicine-free water for one more week. That way, you can see if the infection is completely gone and not just being held at bay by the antibiotics and Epsom Edited April 17, 2016 by Jared

I appreciate your help and support thru this treatment of my quinny thanks again for the MM!If it were me, I would keep him in the QT, do a 100% water change and observe him in pristine, medicine-free water for one more week Ok, I guess it's better not to rush these things as i guess he is prone to this now. Hopefully, he doesn't have permanent organ damage! Thanks for your input Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
