Regular Member Acro Posted March 10, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted March 10, 2016 Anyone have Goldfish and Phoenix Moss (Fissidens fontanus) together? If yes, did they get along? Or was the moss just a goldfish snack?
Regular Member mjfromga Posted March 10, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted March 10, 2016 I had Java Moss. It wasn't a snack, but my larger fish just enjoyed ripping it loose and then it floated all over the tank and got stuck in the filter intake etc. Made a mess. Perhaps Phoenix Moss would be different.
Regular Member Daniel Posted March 10, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted March 10, 2016 I wonder if they do nibble it, whether it will be able to grow back quick enough? Fissidens usually grows rather slowly without co2 and high light.
Regular Member Acro Posted March 11, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) I'm thinking about trying it when I setup a new 75 gallon. I've had goldfish eat java moss, but this tank will be for different fish. Phoenix moss grows short, so maybe it won't be as appealing as java. But every fish is different, so I'll have to find out myself. Also, I'll be using medium light with liquid co2. I'm surprised that none of kokos members have tried phoenix moss with goldfish. But anyway, thanks for the replies you two! Edited March 11, 2016 by Acro
