Fastlane 174 Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) Hello and good day! So I did a WC earlier.. which went well. But, while I was filling water into my aquarium I realized that I don't have a water conditioner on hand.. My question, is it ok to add water conditioner later? It would take me in the afternoon to buy and add the water conditioner... I guess the fish are doing alright before I left my apartment(upon observation)... Should I do another WC before adding water conditioner? BTW, I'm going to get Prime and use it as a water conditioner. Thanks Edited September 24, 2015 by Fastlane
Shahbazin 1,110 Posted September 24, 2015 Depends on if you're on well water or city water, & what's in the water to begin with; chlorine's really toxic & will kill the fish, so water conditioner is a must (I always add it before re-filling) if that's in the water. Even letting water sit overnight might not make it safe, depending on additives (chloramines, I think?). When we had a well, I didn't add anything. Prime's great stuff!
Fastlane 174 Posted September 24, 2015 Alright I'll get prime as soon as possible and add it on my aquarium water. Thanks!
