My Red Cap is BULLYING my new pearlscale...HELP!

Quote "Miss_Goldie"

"What I found was that many people said their red cap, specifically, was a little more aggressive. Maybe it is due to genetics. Add with all goldfish there is inbreeding. Maybe the aggression is linked with the red cap. Who knows? "

Red heads are all the same

I got a new calico fantail, he seems much healthier and they are both very active and chasing each other so thats good :)

My ammonia and nitrite levels are 0 my nitrate is 0-.5 because I did a 100% water change, I had to move the tank to a different area in my home.

Please do fill out the form that Lisa linked so that you can make sure whatever killed the pearlie (my condolences) Doesn't kill your oranda as well.

I think he was just weak, I came home and he was stuck to the filter intake of my marineland 350, he was still alive but once I got him off of it he passed within a hour. I went to the same Petco today and all there pearlscales were gone so I'm assuming they were all a bad stock.

I'm actually more interested in your pH and filtration. Are you doing salt and prazi rounds on them? Remember every time you're adding new stock you need to effectively start over on your qt. He is handsome and hopefully will have an uneventful quarantine, but please do follow the guidelines on it for the best outcome in your tanks :)
