I love a planted tank!

That driftwood would look good with a java fern attached to it. And my goldies didn't eat it.

The addition of the plants really softens the look of the tank - I'll bet the fish love their new aquascaping!

I am just glad I found something nice and tall.  I have giant vals and jungle vals. Can't wait for them to get really tall.

Just a blue bubble rock?  Like this.....http://www.petco.com/product/9219/Petco-Bubble-Bars-for-Fresh-and-Saltwater-Aquariums.aspx?CoreCat=LN_FishSupplies_AirPumpsAccessories only mine is blue and 14 inches. With my tank being so deep I had to have one.

Angie any problems with your goldfish eating/pulling up your val's?I tried them once before and my fish kept pulling them up and they didn't make it :( i really like the way they look in your tank!

I have had a few come up.  Not sure if the goldfish are doing it as they don't have a good root system going yet.

None of these goldfish are plant eaters but I do feed them a lot.  Three to four times a day and some of that it gel food along with algae wafers to make sure they get all the green they need.  I never feed them Lettuce, kale are anything that looks like a plant.  I worry that might give them ideas.  lol They do get a zucchini from time to time but so far no problems.

I also think having the plants in the planter helps.  I have some river rock in there too so not a lot of gravel grazing in the planter.
