Regular Member kmiller Posted June 4, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted June 4, 2015 Hi guys, I'm wondering if it's okay to have a glass figurine like this in your tank? http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/blue-glass-whale-570713/ I've seen other people do it… But just want to be sure it's not going to harm the fish. Thanks!!
Regular Member Flipper Posted June 4, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted June 4, 2015 It's adorable you can put it in your tank as long as it's not hollow But keep in mind the weight of it in addition to gravel, other decorations, and the weight of water itself

Regular Member kmiller Posted June 4, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 4, 2015 Okay, good to know. I was in Hobby Lobby earlier and thought "that would be so cute in my tank!" but I had to come home and make sure it was safe for them first! Thanks
Regular Member RanchuDressing Posted June 4, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted June 4, 2015 If the eyes are painted, they may rub off once it's been in the tank a while, but I wouldn't worry about that harming the fish -- it's a very small amount.
