Goldfish Tumour?

It does look to me like a tumor, or maybe a cyst. Is it firm or soft when pressed?

If you can fill out the D&D form for the mods it will help them help you much more effectively :)

* Ammonia Level(Tank)

* Nitrite Level(Tank)

* Nitrate level(Tank)

* Ph Level, Tank (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines)

Other Required Info:

* Brand of test-kit used and whether strips or drops?

* Water temperature?

* Tank size (how many gals.) and how long has it been running?

* What is the name and "size of the filter"(s)?

* How often do you change the water and how much?

* How many days ago was the last water change and how much did you change?

* How many fish in the tank and their size?

* What kind of water additives or conditioners?

* What do you feed your fish and how often?

* Any new fish added to the tank?

* Any medications added to the tank?

* What are the symptoms, and how long have they been present?

* Any other behavioral changes?

Can you take the fish out, put it in a small container, and take a picture from above and one that looks directly at the swelling?  Do you see skin and scales where the lesion appears discolored?  While you have the fish out, check the "softness" of the bump, as Arctic Mama suggested, comparing it with normal areas.


We need the form filled out before we can attempt a diagnosis.
