Regular Member Black Posted May 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 I've started to use glass paint for the first time and I'm not finding it easy! I'm using an old pot to practise on but I'm getting confuzzled about colours. Would you keep it limited to reds and blues or would you introduce more colour? Oranges and yellows for example?

Regular Member jenzaar Posted May 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 It's beautiful! I love it the way it is, but wonder if just a few touches of yellow (or orange? Would complement the blue better but i don't know what i prefer ) would make it pop nicely.
Regular Member 4prettyfish Posted May 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 I love it the way it is. It's beautiful. Are you going to display it somewhere for that "Pop" of color? I have pops of red in my kitchen and dining area because I love the color and I think it looks great for my purposes.

Regular Member Georgia Posted May 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 I like the blue and red! I'd keep it like that throughout the whole mug, maybe some touches of yellow here and there too.
Regular Member DieselPlower Posted May 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) It will look good either way. I would add yellow before orange. Edited May 15, 2015 by DieselPlower
Helper Arctic Mama Posted May 16, 2015 Helper Share Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) I'd add some oranges before yellows. They're complementary to the blue on the color wheel and in the same tonal family as the red, if you get the undertone right. Regular Member Flipper Posted May 16, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 16, 2015 Love it! And agree with the Arctic moms orange is opposite blue on the color wheel so they'll make each other pop! I'd add orange before yellow, but love it the way it is. Why do you do it for practice on your other thingy or practice even using crayons to see I you like the colors together PS! I'm adding confuzzled to my vocabulary
