API GH & KH TEST KIT Question

Recommended Posts

When doing the KH test, when it turns the first yellow.....is that the bright yellow that they say in the instructions? Or do you keep adding drops past the initial yellow?

You just add and shake one drop at a time until any yellow.

So if your first test is say, six drops to yellow, for the 2nd test  try 1,2, 3, 4 ,5: (shake)  add a drop 6  (shake)  Yellow yet? if not add a drop...

You are looking for the turn. If it "sort of" turns yellow  on the 2nd test at one less than your fist test, it might be a _.5 , a half step.

But most of us count when it turns any bit yellow.

Thanks for that, I was confused over the 'bright yellow' mentioned in the instructions.

Thanks again :)

Yeah. 12:58.

After 11 PM is just about when I'm feeling ready to pontificate about goldfish.
All (or most) of my compatriots are sleeping by then.

Good evening to you, Aussie Jim!

I'm a pretty new goldfish keeper (only 2 years). So if the long-term mods override my opinions, they're probably right.

I've always done it the same way. As soon as I see the change, even if it's rather pale, that's where I stop. :)
