Regular Member Yennie Posted May 1, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 1, 2015 My tank is standing on a "divider" in between living room area and the dinning area so no background for Ponyo and Fuji Luckily they enjoy being the center of attention I want to add more fake plants (silk this time around), and repaint that cheapy gate ornament >.< Does anyone have any experience with safe sealants for aquariums?
Regular Member 4prettyfish Posted May 1, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 1, 2015 I love the furniture that you have your tank on. Your tank looks great. Love the patch of greenery in the back corner. I don't have anything on the back of my tanks either at this time. I did a few years ago but went bare now.

Regular Member goldfishgirl82 Posted May 2, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) Your tank looks very nice. I like how it's placed in your home so you can see it from so many areas too. Mine are all against walls in my apartment... not quite as interesting. I don't have backgrounds on any of them except one -- I painted the back of the tank for my big fish (not a goldfish) who used to try and attack his shadow. Regular Member CourtneyandThunder Posted May 2, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 2, 2015 Wow I would love to do that, very nice. I like seeing fish from both sides.
Regular Member Yennie Posted May 2, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) This is main reason I love it without background - the "front" side is facing our dinner table, and at the back I have a chair I drink coffee at and watch fish in the morning beg for food lol xD Luckily goldfish are not shy in nature, I don't think I could get away with that with some tropicals. Goldfishgirl82 - what kind of fish was trying to attack its shadow? xD Is he okay with his tankmates and its just his own shape that feels threatening to his authority? lol Ponyo used to swim into her reflection all day until few days later I got Fuji and now no more reflection chasing and they are always together I do like barebottom look in aquariums, especially with the river rock, though I think my goldies enjoy sand too much Edited May 2, 2015 by Yennie
