Regular Member RanchuDressing Posted April 30, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted April 30, 2015 First is a lionhead. Second looks, to me, like it's possibly a ryukin mix? Third is a fantail.
Regular Member jmetzger72 Posted April 30, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted April 30, 2015 The first is either a Ranchu or a Lionhead or a mix of the two. Can we get a pic directly from the side. I agree with RD about the second and third. The thing to remember about pet store fish is that they are often mixed breeds, so exact identification is difficult. I actually find mixes to be fun as they are truly unique If you look at my sig, you'll notice the last fish, Tora is a mix. They sold him as a Ranchu and I said "okaaaay" because I thought he was cool looking. Ping was sold to me as an Oranda
Regular Member Blitz Posted April 30, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted April 30, 2015 Cute fish! I'll leave the ID-ing to more experienced people. I just wanted to add my own store fish-type silliness story. I got my black moor, Ilmare from a tank labeled as small fantails. She was really tiny back then but even so had telescope eyes and was certainly not a fantail!
