10 hour return drive to Sydney and four new Orandas

Drove up and back to Sydney yesterday and these four are swimming around very happily

in their quarantine tank and are eating well today and begging already. They have large beautiful

tails which I like more than shorter tails.

Thanks for the replies everyone. much appreciated.

10 hours drive all up for the trip there and back......and 'my' back can feel it today!

Yes Dan got home to a light sprinkle and a little rain. Saw on the news that Sydney was 'whited out' we were lucky to have missed that.

I got them from a private seller that I made contact through via someone else on Gumtree when I asked about some other fish. Totally 100% luck that the whole thing eventuated.

Is there a special nomenclature that is used for orandas with broad tails?

What are the different types of orandas (not colours but body types?)?

They are all big and gorgeous.  I love how high their dorsal's are.  I hope their qt time goes well and fast for you and them. :)

I'v always thought there were only two types of body types.  A more compact type and the longer body type.

They're beautiful! I can't wait to see them turn all orange. :heart That's definitely my favorite color on an Oranda.

I don't think they would have any special type, since they don't have a veiled tail or a short tail. They're just Orandas. :) But they're stunning at that.

Wow for goldfish as pretty as these I would fly down from Melbourne. Doubt I'd get past quarantine though.

Were they dear?

Could I get them to Victoria using the greyhound bus?
