Regular Member SweetMamaKaty Posted April 7, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted April 7, 2015 I always have to look at the fish, even though sometimes it makes me sad. I was pleasantly surprised by this today. It's a start...

Regular Member Kayla102968 Posted April 7, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted April 7, 2015 That's a picture of a koi on the 20 gallon minimum tank size. Was it on a goldfish or koi tank? Just curious.
Supporter Daniel E. Posted April 7, 2015 Supporter Share Posted April 7, 2015 Looks like a shubunkin to me And looks like goldfish behind it.

Was it on a goldfish or koi tank? Just curious. It's a Shubunkin goldfish, not a koi. I think that 'whisker' is just a shiny spot. Regular Member goldfishgirl82 Posted April 7, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) I am SOOOO happy to see a step in the right direction from a corporate store like this. Honestly, I'm also happy to see them promoting Safe Start for setting up tanks. Many new fish keepers that frequent these stores are impatient and will just dump fish in without cycling. The Safe Start at least gives the fish a better chance of surviving because it has some beneficial bacteria starter cultures. Regular Member SweetMamaKaty Posted April 8, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 8, 2015 I'm usually down at the fantail / black moor end, but I'm pretty sure it was on a regular single tail tank - I think the koi are usually in the next one over.
