Regular Member TikiLola Posted March 31, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted March 31, 2015 Found a 125G on craigslist for $150, but it was used as a reef tank. There may be cracks, but wanted to find out if it can be cleaned enough to become fresh water or if it's not a good idea, before I ask about the cracks. http://cnj.craigslist.org/for/4926468558.html
Regular Member GoldenSpoiledRotten Posted March 31, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted March 31, 2015 If there are cracks, I would not get it. Most saltwater tanks can be cleaned for use as freshwater tanks. Having any structural instability when the tank is that big though is just not worth it IMO.
Regular Member TikiLola Posted March 31, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 31, 2015 From the pics, I can't tell if t's the 125 with the cracks or the other tanks...
Regular Member Daniel Posted March 31, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted March 31, 2015 You're not really changing anything. A little bit of elbow grease will have it good.
Regular Member fantailfan1 Posted March 31, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted March 31, 2015 It looks like the 125 with the crack to me. And the bow front looks to have one too.
