Pearlscale/ Ryukin breed

I think I do.  Most of my homegrown fancies are from a pearlscale mom and a fantail dad. They look like fantails.  But I also had a ryukin nymph male and I've had a few fish that are so round that I expect he might have been the dad.  So what you should expect from this cross are very fat fantails.

I have a GF which I don't know what type is... :)

To describe it is that it has an oval/round shaped- body, like of a pearlscale. But has a hump on its top.. It just have short tails though.. That is why I am wondering what type he/she is.. :D

I will try to post a picture..

Thanks for the reply fellow Koko members

Looks to be a well-fed ryukin. :) I love the opaque scales!!

Ryukins have round bodies as well, just not quite pearlscale round. :D

Alrighty. So, after all I knew he/she was a pearlscale. Turns out to be a ryukin. :D

I bought this GF in my LFS around 5 months ago. It was so little and had a scale like a pearlscale, so now this is him/her. Gone bigger...

I like his/her belly. So round.... :)

Thank you!! Now I know that he/she is a Ryukin. All the time I thought it was a cross between a pearlscale and a ryukin. I just noticed the hump on his back just a few months ago.

Its a shorter tail ryukin, but hopefully it will look a bit more even as it grows.

I love my ribbontail Ryu, but it's a bit much. :teenee

These are more towards showing size, but still a good example of tiny tails. :D

You did get lucky, tbh! Very promising little fish, lovely scales. Keep up water weekly changes, feed great food, they'll reward you by being beautiful and interactive with you. :bighug
