Regular Member Morgan'sMiracles Posted January 14, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted January 14, 2015 So as some of you may know, i dirted my 29 gallon tank this summer with a layer of dirt, a layer of sand, and a layer of rocks between. It is waaaaaaaaaay too thick, and I just feel like my fish don't have enough room to swim. That said, is it possible- or reasonable- to redirect a tank? Have you done it? Is it super hard? Thanks for any and all help!
Regular Member Hidr Posted January 14, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted January 14, 2015 I think in your tank you well have to break it all the way down.
Regular Member yafashelli Posted January 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 You can likely save some of the sand and rocks (by rinsing them with the hose till they run clear), but you'll have to start over. You've done it once, and you can do it again! I believe in you!
Regular Member Morgan'sMiracles Posted January 15, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 Ah, okay. Same as before, then. Well, it's as good a use as any for my tax money, haha. Thanks! Good to know it's possible. ❤️
Regular Member yafashelli Posted January 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 Remember that when you redirt, you will likely see another mini cycle. Keep up on your w/c's, and you'll do just fine! As always, if you need help, I'm here for you!
