JustRachel 239 Posted December 29, 2014 I was just wondering - at what age should fry have their first fluke treatment? Also, am I right in thinking flubendazole is used often as an alternative to Praziquantel? Thank you!
mikroll 236 Posted December 29, 2014 Congratulations on fry spawn.I am so glad that you posted as when I read this I had a look over at my telescope buttery fly and HO HO they have also decided to throw a few eggs tonight. And so I can tell you how I treat mine. with success. !. Prespawn parents and spawn tank are treated for fluke ,etc. 2. from first days fry are treated for fluke. Praziquentel is my preferred chemical treatment but there are several other ways. I have not yet had the pleasure to test the flubendazole on fry.

yafashelli 9,540 Posted December 30, 2014 I think most people wait a week or two. I didn't realize that I had fry in my tank, and I think that they hatched in prazi water. They're still with me, 20ish months later, so it can't be too harmful!

I saw someone mention it as an alternative on the forum and I can't remember who.
