Glenn 32 Posted November 19, 2014 I really want to breed a black ryukin. Unfortunately the gene for black in black moors is close to the same one that gives them buggy eyes and I don't want that. I know there are other fish out there that are black (like orandas) that are black without buggy eyes. What are my best chances for breeding a black ryukin? Which type of fish should I cross it with?

GoldenSpoiledRotten 6,786 Posted November 19, 2014 I've seen fading black, calico with a ton of black, 'blue', kirin, wild-type coloration... but never seen a truly jet black ryukin that kept the color. Even with a quick internet search I kept coming up with those things, but never a complete black. Good luck!
