Sharing for the first time Ryukin and Oranda Tank

Recommended Posts

So this is my first video i've shared on here and the first featuring my new 38 gallon tank. I am aware that it appears my Oranda has flukes. Just noticed today, but was planning to treat after I put the new one in.

Anyways, let me know what you think and like/share/comment on the video if you like too! Any advice is welcome as well.

Very nice, the fish are beautiful! I like that tank too, nice setup.

Nicely narrated video as well!

Only advice for the future: it is a good idea to quarantine a new fish for a few weeks before adding it to the main tank, just because you never know if and what they might bring with them. But since you aren't adding any more fish now anyway, simply keep that advice somewhere in the back of your head :)

It is definitely a good idea that you treat for flukes now. Should you need help or advice about that, feel free to open a topic in the Diagnosis & Treatment section :)

Oh that ryukin. :thud

I agree with Fang as far as QT. You just never know what kind of critters a new fish brings along with it . . .

For me, I don't really have very good means to be able to QT a fish for that long, I guess I could always put one in a bucket with an air stone for a while, if I had to, but it's not something I really wanted to do with a new fish.

Thanks for all the comments, very much appreciated!

You can get a 10 gallon sterilite tub with an air stone and change the water every day to every other day. :)

Also, gorgeous fish!!!! :heart
