Hi all dory was in the big tank for 1 month and 3 days. She did not act sick or look sick. Last Tuesday, I noticed her tumor tuning green. I am not sure why. She did not look sick on Friday, I saw a red dot on her that I did not like. I took her out put her in the hospital tank. Gave her meds for 4 days. She looks so much better. She all heal, but her tumor is still green. Why is it green. I took lots of pic of her.

The swelling and sticking out scales is due to dropsy. This is best treated with metronidazole and another antibiotic such as triple sulfa.

Both General Cure and the anti parasite medicated food you have contain some amount of metronidazole but I'm not sure how much. If I was you I'd call around to any local fish stores and see if they carry metronidazole and triple sulfa (or some other antibiotic) and treat her with those. I would also add Epsom salt to the tank (1/4 tsp per 10 gallons).

Before you add the Epsom, what is the size of the hospital tank? I only mention this because it looks like you have a ten gallon that has been running for a year but I don't know if that is your hospital or main tank. :idont

Its a hospital tank and its a 10 gallon. My main tank is a 72 bowl tank gallon And I do not have Epsom. I am thinking of buying something else that is cheap, because I do not have alot of money

Epsom salt is pretty cheap. I got a huge container for only four dollars. They are in the pharmacy section and the ingredient is magnesium sulfate. Thank you for clarifying :)

I agree with Lisa. The prickly scales were the first thing I noticed. The Tumor was less alarming. I would get the Epsom at your local grocery/drug store. It is very cheap and is one of the best things you can do for pineconing scales.

Can you tell us more about the Meds you have been using?

Manufacturer or Brand Name of the Antiparasite Food

How many days or rounds of General Cure you administered?

How much (%) of water you change weekly?

Did you test the water before or after you did the water change today?
