Here are the standards for judging goldfish in the US. I must say they leave a lot to the taste of the judges. However this should be very useful for those who are curious about the variety of their fish.

The sections on the differences between Lionheads and Ranchus and Top View Ranchus and Side View Ranchus are very good. I know this subject comes up a lot here on the Forum

The only thing that I've noticed is that they dissect crowned pearlscale and hamanishiki into two different catagories, when in most other countries they are one in the same. :/
