Lis's 180g dirted goldfish tank!

Recommended Posts

I shall do that tomorrow, thank you for the suggestion Cheryl :)

They aren't taking over yet, but they're on the hygro and it annoys me. I think I'm going to rip my swords out soon too, they're slowly dying on me. I've never had any luck with swords. I'm thinking I may replace them with some more aponogeton and tiger lotus bulbs, they thrive in this tank :)

This is the last picture I'll be posting of the tank looking like this. As of tomorrow, I'll be ripping some plants out, moving things around, and adding more anubias and bogwood. It's become too much maintenance, and it's pretty difficult to clean. I don't want to risk the health of my fish, and I want to make cleaning easier for myself, so it's time for a change :) I'll be gutted to rip stuff out (wouldn't be surprised if I cry whilst doing it :rofl) but I'm sure I'll come up with something good :)

If you had a black thumb like me, you'd never have to worry about overgrowth or having to rip (living) stuff out . . . . :o

:rofl3

It is such a beautiful tank, but with your talents I imagine the change will be just as beautiful and interesting.

Thanks ladies :)

So this is how it looks as of right now. I have ripped out most of the hygrophila and all but one of the swords. Now that I've been struck with a kidney infection, this is how it'll look for a few more days. They definitely seem to appreciate the extra swimming room though, so I'll bare that in mind with the new scape :)

And the anubias :)

I've ordered lots of anubias and java fern, a lovely Instagram member has sent me some java fern and I'll be covering the postage, and I bought a load of java fern and bogwood from work :)
