Helen 8,511 Posted August 10, 2014 phew.. it will be really great when you get your water test kits so that you know exactly what's going on and exactly what you need to do to correct the issues i wonder if that's why the guppy wasn't feeling well. i would prefer we do not move Phoebe over until we can understand what the water params are in the main tank. i'm off to bed.. it's reeeeeeeally late now, tomorrow's a full day

Helen 8,511 Posted August 13, 2014 i apologise for my absence.. ok, so how is Phoebe doing? still going strong? are those black marks fading? how are the fish in the main tank, still doing well?
shekhina 17 Posted August 13, 2014 No worries, Helen Phoebe is still doing well, although I wouldn't say the black marks are fading much, if at all, yet. The guppies all look good. Both tanks are in their fourth week of Prazi.
Helen 8,511 Posted August 14, 2014 it may take some time for them to fade. what about the red mark she had on her belly, did that fade away or is it still there?
shekhina 17 Posted August 15, 2014 Red mark has faded away Phoebe is still eating really well and lots of poo now.
shekhina 17 Posted August 17, 2014 Just checking that it is in fact OK to move Phoebe back to her main tank? Is there anything I should do to make the transition easier for her? Also how do I make up the green powdered food for them, please?
Helen 8,511 Posted August 19, 2014 oh.. sorry! again, the notifications system has failed me! i will ask koko to take a look at why.. yes, i think it's fine to move Phoebe back just be sure that the temps and PH values match (QT to main tank) re the other food, each individual package i sent you is 1/4 cup Repashy Solient Green and a pro-bioitic capsule. all you need to do is add 3/4 cup water (no more, no less) otherwise setting it will become yukkies. crack open a probiotic capsule and add it to the mix. mix really well! then, put it in the microwave for 1 min and 30 seconds. at exactly half time, take it out and stir well, replace it in the microwave for the duration cooking time. (beware, it smells like poo straight from a horse's butt ) whilst it's cooking, prepare a mould. plastic container is better since you can remove the food from it easier after it's set. no need to fridge it so that it sets, this will set well on the counter.
shekhina 17 Posted August 19, 2014 Great, thanks very much! I'm quite busy tonight so we'll do a big water change in the main tank tomorrow and move her over after that I shall continue with the Prazi for another week.
