you're probably wondering where ballerina is? she had an argument with the driftwood overnight and came out second best :( here are her injuries

and now you're probably wondering where Rocky is? Rocky had an attack of the flukes.. she's being treated in QT. it's been a few weeks and she's made awesome progress. here's how she's looking as of last night:

this is an instructional vid which talks aussie.. for QT purposes. but you can see Rocky's progress at the beginning and at the end of the video :)

thanks for watching :)

Poor Ballerina! Her injuries don't look too bad, very similar in fashion to the injuries my butterfly sustained when some boy pinned her up against a rock in the pond that was holding down a plant. I hope her and rocky recover nice and quick :heart Your pearlies look marvelous! I'm so glad you decided on tikus.

thanks hun :) if you get one for the pond, i would go a more longer bodied pearlie than the tiku.. i am not sure how a tiku would do in a pond, they seem ok in the depths of my 120G but i have the temps stable at 24C all year.

Great pictures, as always. I'm so glad Rocky is doing well!

thank you :)

thanks hun, Rocky is almost 100% back to normal, i am just waiting for the prazi treatment to finish, that should be done in another 2 weeks. if ballerina needs the QT (as she's currently in a breeder box in the main), i will cut short Rocky's treatment, replace her to the main tank and put ballerina in QT. i will keep check on things over the next few days and see how we go :)

it's an illusion! lol.. i get up close and personal with them and they look bigger. i don't feed my fish to grow them much. i feed them only what is required to keep them happy and healthy :)

I'm very sorry that Ballerina has suffered those injuries. I'm sure you'll get her up on her feet again.

Ballerina will pull through.

And OMG. Those tikus (?) am I right? XD I am in love with all of them! I had my other fish for just 2 years coming up in a couple of months, but I have never been able to keep a tiku alive for more than 2 days... Ugh. So sad as they are my favourite. :(

unfortunately, Ballerina did not make it. her injuries were too severe for her. she was never a strong little girl and with her bent spine, was disadvantaged with swimming. hence why she anchored herself in the plants and driftwood. this is what caused her to be injured. such a character she had though... sweet little thing :heart RIP Ballerina :heart
