Vodka 2 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) Hii. Finally had 15 posts! What a relief. Anyways, My two Ryukins currently have : White poop. They're thick and look like rice! Thick poop. Thin poop. Long poop. One of the Ryukins are having a swollen anus. They're conditions had improved as I have been treating with BeFuran. I've started it for 4 days. (5 days on 12/6/2014). I do NOT have Aquarium Salt. My Aquarium salt will turn the water blue.. Weird. So. What do I do ATM? By the way, The filter : Eheim 2213/2215 filter. (It was faded) Aeration : High. Ammonia : 0 Nitrite : I don't know.. As I don't have the test kit. Nitrate : About 10 or 20ppm. No readings are in my tap water. Mikey 6,780 Posted June 11, 2014 Aquarium salt shouldn't turn the water blue. What brand and where did you buy it? Also, for a much cheaper salt you can buy Morton canning and pickling salt. It is just as effective and you get about 4 pounds for I think 2 dollars.

Any salt with only the ingredient "salt" or "sea salt" will do.

shakaho 6,312 Posted June 11, 2014 Mikey, check his location. sorry, was on my phone. I can't see the location on there unless I go into the full site mode. I see. From his introduction thread: "Hello there! I am from Brunei Darussalam. It's a neighbour of Malaysia. Near Australia." They probably don't have Morton's there.

jmetzger72 6,976 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) Vodka, I know you don't have the test kits. So, just try to complete the form questions that you are able to answer at this time. Be sure to let us know your water change schedule and amount. We also need to know if the fish have showed any symptoms other than the white feces. motherredcap 6,284 Posted June 11, 2014 Particularly, a picture of the swollen anus would be helpful (and that is the last time I will ever write that sentence )

Didn't know if you didn't see them or if you meant what I said.

Vodka 2 Posted June 14, 2014 You wanted a picture of the poop. I siphoned the poo out with an airline tubing so here it is. http://s984.photobucket.com/user/ShadowDinosaur/media/Goldfishpoo_zpsd5711c08.png.html

tithra 4,917 Posted June 19, 2014 Can you update us as to what is currently in the tank (any salt or other meds?) When you say pooping issues, does the poop still look like it did in the picture you posted? What are you feeding, how much, and how many times a day? Are you able to get video of the fish? do you have access to prazi or fenbendazole (the latter is found in cat/dog de-wormers such as safeguard)?
