Mystery snails mating again!

So last night I introduced a new mystery snail to my main tank and within FIFTEEN MINUTES he was mating with my female!! (Now that I know who's male and who's female, I'd like to name them, but not sure what yet. I think I'll name the female Sunset because she's a beautiful half pink, half gold.)

Sadly, last week the heater broke on my tank, which was housing Sunset and the male she bred with last time. Sunset made it through just fine, but by the time we figured it out and fixed it, it was too late for the male and he died a couple of days later.

I will be leaving the water level 3 inches low so that she can lay her eggs. But will this cause the current to be too strong? I have a canister filter and it will be splashing into the tank.

For the babies, I will be setting up two separate small tanks, with heaters (the lack of a heater is how my babies died last time), and do the bucket to bucket method. Is anything else needed? I was planning to feed algae thins.

Congratulations! I'm no help with baby snails. I've killed them all!

I did too last time ... I want to get it right this time!
