blackmoors 359 Posted May 9, 2014 So prazi seems to be fairly common as treatment with fry. Is their anything else to medicate the fry? Ive never really treated my fry until they were approx 1-2months of age. But im thinking with my latest batch of fry I might try and do it differently.
fantailfan1 26,742 Posted May 9, 2014 I only ever did prazi. Some start it when the fry hatch, I did my first round at week 1, many say that 2 weeks is the latest you'd want to wait to start round 1. I don't think any other treatment is needed unless you are having issues with the tank the eggs came from. And even then I'm not so sure what meds fry could handle . . . Did you just get another batch of fry? Pics.
blackmoors 359 Posted May 9, 2014 Yeah that was pretty much my thoughts. But wanted to check if anyone else medicated for anything else. I might do a wc tomorrow and do a prazi. (See what happens) Yeah think im onto batch 12 of fry?? Lost count lol.
blackmoors 359 Posted May 19, 2014 Just a query. What dose should prazi be used at with fry? Is it safe to just follow instructions for dose from bottle? Or do I halve the dose etc?

ichthius 122 Posted November 24, 2014 Composition as follow : Malachite green oxalate 0,18 g, formaldehyde solution 5,89 g, Yes it will work for flukes. Be very careful, it is easy to kill all your fry with this. Treat them in a way you can immediately remove them from the treatment of they show stress.

hassan.zidan 43 Posted November 25, 2014 Today i use Formalin and Malachite Green at 8:00 AM 22 drops per 12 gallons no any stress showed in my fries . As per medication its not recommended for flukes , as general and after googling i think any parasite cure can do good in Trematoda medication
