They look good to me. Full bellies is a good sign. :D

yay!! :happydance

(heads up, i will most likely be asking you this every day in reference to an update photo :teehee )

you are our go-to fry expert :D

:rofl3 I would hardly consider myself an expert having raised only one fry (that I can remember raising anyway. The others were too long ago. :rofl ).

But I'll try ot help. :D

5 days old :heart

I can almost start to make out their double tails when looking down at them
Sad to report we had one fry death today.....not sure why he died :(
Something white and fuzzy looking around his abdomen- should I be concerned about flukes?
I was planning to dose them with prazi when they're 10 days old but should I do it sooner?
Would hate to lose anymore of them...

They're so cute, I love watching them eat their bbs :goldfish:

Aww they're growing so fast!

Sorry you lost one, maybe he had a defect or something. :(

I think you can start the prazi sooner, I started my fry at 1 week with no problems. :3

Thanks Sarah :D

and I know, right?

I still cannot believe that only 5 days ago they were little eggs

and yeah.... i was pretty bummed, not sure if he had a defect- but if it won't hurt them i will def be starting prazi on day 7 :thumb:

how're your guys doing?

can't wait for your week three video !!! :nana

My guys are doing pretty good so far! I haven't lost any fry yet, but I thought I was going to lose one the other day! He was literally floating on his side and couldn't swim. I tried to find clove oil so I could euthanize him but nobody had it, so I just let him be....but after a couple of days he fully recovered and he's back to normal! It was really weird. o:

Sorry you've lost some more fry Elisa :( you still have many though, so don't let it bother you too much :)

I haven't gone back through my thread, but I think when I treated for flukes some of my fry were 7 days old, but most were 5 days (I think). I didn't use salt, not sure if you're meant to, mine have been fine (other than some losses, but nothing significant) but you may want to wait for an answer back on that one :)

No salt, prazi only and the sponge filter or some sort of aeration.

How did the little ones that passed look? Were they fuzzy or did they just look physically normal? :idont

they were fuzzy :(

dosed prazi (brought water up to 5 gallons for an easy conversion and added the sponge filter :thumb: )

I'll answer your question from the LTAF thread here so it's easier to find.

Prazi now, in about 2 weeks and then again about a month later. I would do 50% WC one day and 100% the next. Remember to replace Prazi if you're on Days 1-4. :)

Thanks Lisa :)

So just to clarify, one round of prazi (5 days) and then another round two weeks later?

(and another round 1 month after that)....

Are fuzzy bodies an indicator of flukes?

The remaining fry seem to be doing really well since dosing the tank :thumb:

I also dosed mochi and misha's tank as a preventative since that has to be where any flukes came from in the first place....

Two of the fry on their 1st week birthday :teehee:heart
I can see double tails on most of them, I've only seen one or two that look to have single tails but I suppose tail-finage will be more apparent at 2 weeks rather than 1 week.
