Thank you everyone... I feel really bad about the whole situation but, I know I tried my best and with everyone's help I don't think there's much more I could have done. I finally got home and stared into my tank for awhile.. Just sir Isaac in there... On a positive note... He is very active and only slightly pink. The red spots on his face have almost completely disappeared. I am hoping he will make it through. Once again thank you everyone. I'm a huge animal lover and I try to take great care of my pets. It just sucks when you feel like you failed. I keep telling myself I did my best. Couldn't have come this far without all of you.

I'm sorry you lost your fish, just read through this thread hoping for a positive outcome.

Were these fish imports?

Thank you. No, I got them at my local pet store. Next time around I def will be purchasing from a breeder though.

They look like some nice quality fish if you ask me. My lionhead doesn't look anywhere as nice as your ranchu did (but I still love my little calico).

Also, if you want another ranchu, don't import. Just look at East Coast Ranchus on Facebook.

Kiara,

May I ask if you've read through this thread before dispensing advice? We've had an entire discussion on ECR just two pages past. :)

This may sound odd but, does anyone have a personal pic of the metro meds food pellets? I'm starting to question something about the food and just wanted to see a visual representation of what it is suppose to look like.

Thank you :)

I'll take pics for you tomorrow (today, really) if no one has done it by the time I am done with work. :)

Sir Isaac seems like he is doing really well! :) He is swimming up down and all around his tank only occasionally chilling out at the bottom. The pink coloration is going away :) He still does have some of the black marking on his body. I'm thinking those are healing wounds?

Dnalex, I'll wait for your pic. I'm curious to see if I'm just going crazy over here lol

I received my metronidazole and kanaplex in today. He is currently on his 3rd round of prazi. Should I add the metronidazole?

I've heard that whenever goldfish have black scales that are temporary (for a few weeks or less) that they're bruises. Don't know if it's true, but if someone can clarify then go ahead.

I'm so sorry, I was away. I promise I would get a pic for you tomorrow. :)

Go ahead and add the metro, but no kana until we see him or get your update tomorrow.

Metro is 200mg/10 gallons :)

He is looking so much better, and for that reason, I don't think we should be adding any more to the tank.

Update us tomorrow, please, if you can. :)

He seems to be doing just as well as yesterday:) I'm very happy that he was able to get better! I was so scared when he started going septic and got all pink. Thank you so much for your help!

One question. I have had these two bags of sand for awhile now. Should I add them or wait until the 4th round of prazi is over?

I would wait.

I agree with Kiara, although I have no idea what her reasoning may be.

For me, it's about not wanting to change any factor that may stress out the fish, or somehow cause problems. Although I love sand, etc., it does represent a very big one, and one that could cause stress (as would anything that make you think like you've moved to a new habitat).

So, for now, let's wait before you add the sand. :)

I'm glad she continues to do well. :)

I never have a method to my madness. lol

I agree with not stressing out the fish. You want to try and keep the good streak going and make sure that Sir Isaac makes a full recovery.

Well, now, he seems to want to be a panda! :o:rofl

I think that is definitely a healing response from when he got the whole body infection. My guess is that all that black will recede in a few months. I'm glad he seems to be doing so much better. He looks great, actually! :)
