A newbie figuring out how much to feed....

I am trying to figure out if I am feeding my goldfish enough or not.

I got them (one fan tail and one moor) on February 2nd and they have grown noticeably. They are now about 1.5" long in the body. I tried weighing them on my kitchen scale and they appear to weigh about one once. Does that sound about right?

So I think I should be feeding them 1% of an ounce or.28 of a gram???

I can't measure this small on my scale.

Any suggestions?

I think the fact that they have grown since February shows that you are feeding them enough. But, yes...1% of body weight is the correct number.

I never been too scientific about feeding. I usually just feed them what they can eat in 2-5 minutes. As long as they are healthy and the water quality stays good, I don't worry :)

Omega one small sinking pellets, frozen blood worms, peas and spinach I feed twice a day, choosing one of the first three for that meal, the spinach is in the tank for a day about twice a week.
