I just wanted to thank you all so much for your help <3 I moved Eugene back into the main tank last week, and reuniting him with Gill was very touching! They both are happy to be back together. Eugene is doing so much better now! He still spends quite a bit of time sitting on the bottom, but no longer has any trouble with swimming or floating. I think, though, that my tank is cycling itself again... I ended up having to do a really major cleaning and now everything is kind of foggy.
