The big ones scare me Tammy but not the little nerite one. I thought I would be afraid of them but I'm not and I have 5 in my 20g with my betta now.Aubrey Your snail is beautiful. Love the purple. I would have chosen that color also.
Thanks Cheryl! :D I actually have four from Daniel :alex Two are that pretty purple then one is white, I think and the other is blue :heart They are all beautiful, but I really love the purples and they're the most active :lisa:

Adorable!

How much did you pay for the horned nerites?

Is it bad that I don't know... When I saw them I said I NEED 3! The lady getting them didn't even I really know they were a type of nerite, but I did :nana

I'll dig up my receipt and see if I can translate it! :hmm

D'awww!!! :heart

Okay, I was just wondering since the cheapest I can find is $9.00. :yikes

$4.98 each for the tiny horned bumble bee ones :heart

And $3.98 for the olive ones and thes ones aren't quite as tiny

:nana

I just can't rationalize why I'm so excited about snails, but I totally love them :D

I hope you have better luck with the horned ones than I did. :yikes

I'm sure the OLIVE ones will quickly become your favorites. :rofl3

Whaaat! Did the horny ones die or run away? :o

Why will the green one be my faves? Aside from the obvious color :)

Explain please :)

My goldfish get zucchini anyway, so that's a given as a regular food source in my tanks. That being said my goldfish don't really like carrots or lettuce, so those are prepared exclusively for the snails!

Look at my two Apple snails in the 55. What is the tube coming out of the golden one?

It part of the respiratory system. http://www.applesnail.net/content/anatomy/respiration.php

It may mean your O2 is low.

Me too! Even my husband has been converted. When I first got them he was a little disdainful, but once he noticed the antics they got up to he got on board.

I could certainly try. I'm not really sure I did anything to convert my husband though. I think it was 100% snail. Of course they had it easy as my husband already loves fish and with the exception of about 4 years has always had his own tanks since we met 12 years ago (and probably longer, I just don't remember when he said he got his first tank. :wa Such a terrible wife!). If you don't count the fish we had as children he's actually kept fish longer than I have. I think the combination of them parasailing down from the top of the tank (he's a bit of an adrenaline junkie) and the surgery I had to do on Isis (nothing like a spot of empathy) did the trick.
