Hi guys :D

As some of you may know, I ordered some goldfish from Rain Garden in early December. My original intention was to finish my fish-less cycle and have them shipped in early January. Unfortunately my tank wasn't cooperating and the cycle I started mid November hadn't made much progress. Oh well :) Rain Garden was very understanding and overly accommodating considering my situation and continued to hold them for me, but we ended up deciding (thanks to the kokonuts here and Steve) that a fish-in cycle would be OK and on Wednesday they were shipped. They arrived yesterday :D I can't believe it finally happened and man, it was soooooo worth the wait. I couldn't he happier.

They are a bit banged up from shipping and were a little stressed (understandably so), but after settling in for a few hours they really perked up. I gave them a wee bit of Repashy Soilent Green to nom on. This morning when I woke up and checked on them, they are all over the tank having a great time!

Here they are:

Super cute chubby cheeked blue oranda is already looking like he'll end up white and orange

This chunkster is a ranchu with a dorsal

And some more of them hanging out together and exploring

Kind of a full tank shot

They are already best of buddies... following each other around the tank. The blue oranda is missing some scales and the "ranchu" has a few tiny white spots on his body, and there is definitely some stringy poop, but I'm hoping it's from the stress of shipping. I'm going to monitor them and see if fresh, clean water does the trick.

Thanks for looking :D

OMG that chu is about the cutest thing I've ever seen! Love his colors! :nana

Let us know if you need help with the fish in cycling. :teehee

I will probably take you up on that :) I tested their water this morning and it's the same as when I added them to the tank yesterday afternoon, but I'm doing a large water change in a few minutes anyway so they can have MOAR clean water :D FUN!

Thank you! Steve at Rain Garden has been great to deal with! I know he ships all over the U.S, but I'm not sure if he ships to Canada and I looked through is website but I haven't found any info. Maybe you could send him an email and ask :idont I'm sure if he could, he'd be more than happy to.

Thanks, Alex :D So far, QT is smooth sailing. I just did a 70% water change and they seem a little more active than before :)

Your chu reminds me so much of a RG oddball that I was so tempted to get when I set my tank back up. I really loved that guy :teehee but lacked the confidence. Keep the pics coming! :D
