New home for Nemo & Nolan...Before & After Pics

Recommended Posts

It's now about three weeks since the tank transition so I thought I'd post before and after shots. Please excuse the reflection on the glass.

Before…little 5 gallon on the office desk...

After…29 gallons still located in our office for its zen like qualities…ha!

Please note the craftiness of my black Oceanvisions background! And, the tension rod that will hold the curtain to hide all of the stuff underneath! :happydance

I love your rocks! I'm a bit of a rock hound. Good job on that background. It makes everything pop. Beautiful!

I did the same thing with the curtain on my stand for the 110! I choose my own fabric and made a curtain. :) I love the look! I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Yes, exactly! I bought a yard of fabric and then goofed. Before I knew it, scissors were flying, and it was too small. See, I prefer to do things multiple times before getting them right. :rofl But, in a way, I am glad that happened because when I got the fabric home I didn't think the print went very well with the rest of the set up. So, hopefully next time it will be just right!

The new tank looks perfect! Hopefully, it's a little less work to maintain the 29 gallon.

Thanks guys!! I am glad it's finally done. Next will be a light…and a timer to go with. There is no way I can turn it on and off like I should while working and chasing these boys around!!

Is that background like a mirror?

no, it's just solid black...the reflection is from the lights being on in the room when i took the photo. Without a tank light, I haven't found any other way to get a picture.

If you are looking for a background, I thought this one was really affordable and easy to work with. The brand is Oceanvisions...it comes in a few different shades of blue and black. You can google it. Also, Lisa (fantailfan1) has a thread here with step by step instructions on how to apply it.
