tithra 4,917 Posted October 3, 2013 So, as many of you already know by now, I upgraded my 40 breeder to a 75 gallon recently. It was quite the process that involved returning a broken stand and then returning a tank with a small crack in it... yikes. The tank and stand were both bought at petsmart and the managers there were amazing and let me exchange both the tank and stand no questions asked for a new one. I have been hesitant to put any pics up yet because this tank isn't even close to "done". All the plants are just pretty much randomly placed. I'm not sure yet what plants I am going to keep in this tank and how I want them arranged just yet. So, you get one picture This was right after a water change, so things are still a bit cloudy but here it is: The fish are absolutely loving it. It is obvious how badly they needed an upgrade seeing the change in their behavior in this tank compared to the 40. This won't be the last upgrade but it should hold them over for a bit I will post some more pics and a video once I get things a little more established.

tithra 4,917 Posted October 3, 2013 Thanks everyone for the comments! I'm glad you all like it " data-cid="1595571" data-time="1380789324">Now you have an extra 40 gallon breeder....TO RAISE FRY!!! Lol... The tank is in the basement for now, my plan has been to sell it, but it will probably just stay down there because I'm too lazy to post it on CL What lucky little fish you have. Looks great so far! I think your next upgrade will be a pond! Any thoughts on getting a third fish? I would like a pond some day, but next upgrade will be a 100-150 gallon Absolutely no more fish! The thought has certainly crossed my mind, but really I think the 75 is already full enough with two Absolutely gorgeriffic! What is that light? How does that work? Is it elevated above the hoodless tank? Thank you! The light is 2 aquatic life dual t5ho fixtures hooked together. They are the fixtures I was using on my 40, so they are only 36 in long. Because of this I had to get a suspension kit. Basically, there are two rods that are drilled into the back of the stand that the light hangs from (light hangs from wires). I'll do a review on the suspension system at some point. Suspending a light is a great alternative to placing it right on top because you get a more even spread of light and you can also control the light level in the tank by raising it higher/lower to get high/low light levels Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
