Fish poop question

Couldn't find a direct answer... so here I am.

I feed my fish peas or (like today) spinach after the regular pellet food (Nutrafin Max).

I find this is helping to prevent any floating issues with one of my fish.

My question is, the poop is long(ish), stringy and clear for the most part with a bit of what looks like digested food mixed within it.

Not sure if it's a good thing, bad thing, or nothing at all.

The fish seems to be good, feisty and swimming well.

My only question really, is if the poop being like this is an issue.

I wouldn't worry too much about a long stringy poop as long as it's not a common occurence and your fish is acting normally. My fish occasionally have long stringy (white or clearish with the occasional food color mixed in) poo and as long as they act normal, eat and it goes away, I don't do anything.

Keep your eye on it and keep us posted. :D

I have noticed this occasionally from my fish so I agree that if it isn't too frequent your fish should be fine. Good luck!!

I've also read that fish kept with sand substrate can have this sometimes.

I don't thinki be seen this since adding the sand. It was before . . . :idont

No, I just thought I'd mention that as a point of interest. I think it was in the Hess book.

On a side note, you have some awesome fish in your signature.

That is awesome.

He looks like someone mistakenly used him as a pallet.

Very nice.
